This pair of singing jokers combines great music with great entertainment. Expect sharp suits and corny jokes; crazy impressions and daft sketches – all accompanied by large helpings of Grand Opera. Be bowled over by Bernstein and invigorated by Verdi at this ‘suitable for all ages’ show. There will be plenty of superb singing and great music to accompany the laughs. The show will satisfy genuine opera buffs and entertain those who love more popular music. In 200 shows from Cumbria to Kent, audiences have laughed till they’ve cried…
Who are the Opera Dudes? The Dudes are from very different backgrounds: one a posh Cambridge scholar, the other an ex-builder, both now operatic tenors. Neil Allen started singing in the pubs and clubs of Nottingham when he was still working as a builder. After a lengthy period retraining as an operatic tenor, he now performs all over the world. Tim Lole first sang as a cathedral chorister before studying at Cambridge and pursuing a career as a conductor and pianist. However, he soon realised he wasn’t getting enough attention behind the keyboard and decided that tenors had all the fun.
