Rutland Open Studios kicks off with a wonderful FREE two-day festival here in Morcott on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 June.
Centred around the White Horse pub, visitors can see artists in action, demonstrating their arts and crafts. These range from drawing and painting to ceramics and sculpture, plus print-making and lino-cuts.
Saturday 1 June & Sunday 2 June 10am – 4pm each day
Fun for everyone. Live music. Refreshments available both days. Hog Roast on Sunday!
The festival is absolutely free to visit, and there are numerous activities for adults and children who can get stuck in and try these techniques for themselves!
The White Horse may be the main focus, but there’s also an Exhibition of Drawings, Painting and 3D work in the Village Hall. This years leavers from Rutland’s senior Schools and Colleges are invited to exhibit and a prize is offered for the ‘best’ entry. (For more information on the schools art exhibition, contact Mo Gardner on 01572 747 639).
The event is generously sponsored by Arts For Rutland.
