Road closures/repairs in Morcott

The Parish Clerk has received outline details from Rutland County Council of road closures and repairs.

Notices warning of road closures went up on 22 January, on the High Street and on Willoughby Road.

RCC says “Short road closures will be required to facilitate the carriageway patching that is being carried out through the village, as per previous requests [from Morcott Parish Council].

Works should take place approx 4 and 5 February and take about three or four days.  Any diversions will be signed.”

Additional info: When works are actually taking place, contractors will endeavour to afford residents access (eg to their own driveways) but this access will be limited, and is not guaranteed at all times.  RCC ask for villagers’ understanding and co-operation while the work requested by Morcott Parish Council is being carried out.
