New Vicar for Morcott

The churchwardens are delighted to share the news that the Rev Mark Battison has accepted the Bishop of Peterborough’s invitation to become priest-in-charge (the modern official title) of The Welland Fosse Benefice, that is of Barrowden & Wakerley, South Luffenham, Morcott, Duddington and Tixover.

The formal announcement was made in all the group’s churches at services this morning.  The position will be part-time: 4 days a week.

Mark will be licensed during a special service to be held in Barrowden on Saturday 5 April at 3.30pm.  Mark and his wife Tracey will live in the Rectory at Barrowden.

If you have any questions, please do ask your churchwardens Carl Giddings (748 712) and Jane Williams (747 157).
