Harvest Festival Service & Lunch

Morcott’s 2014 Harvest Festival celebrations are on Sunday 5 October.

The Church service is at 11am: it’s a very family-friendly event, led by Rev Mark Battison and everyone is welcome! If you have surplus garden or allotment produce do bring it along to add to our harvest gifts. These will be auctioned later.

The Harvest Lunch is in the Village Hall, at 12.30 (so there is plenty of time after church to nip home and get your bake out of the oven!).  This is a Bring & Share meal to which everyone is invited, but you do need to book your places so that we know we can seat everyone and provide salads etc. Please do this by Tuesday 30 September.

A leaflet about how the Bring & Share lunch works has been delivered to every house in the village, but if in doubt, please contact Jane Williams on 747 157, or at ejw (dot) email (at) gmail (dot) com …

After lunch, we’ll auction off all our Harvest produce, and send the proceeds to the Rutland branch of the charity Water Aid.
