Rutland County Council is offering prospective Parish and County Councillor candidates the chance to learn more about the process of standing for election at a special open event on 24 February.
May’s elections could see all 26 of Rutland’s County Council seats contested, along with all Parish Council seats throughout the county.
The open event will be held at the Council’s Catmose offices in Oakham, 6pm on Tuesday 24th February.
There will be information about the timelines and procedures that need to be followed in order to stand for election, as well as guidance around the nomination process and qualification requirements.
This event is free to attend and open to anyone.
