The first meeting of 2016 is on January 13th at 7.30pm, with a talk by Mr Joe Whitehead on the garden at the Blatherwycke Estate, a private garden which we plan to visit in May.
Blatherwycke Hall was demolished in the 1940s, and the owners are now bringing the gardens back to life – including a kitchen garden, wall-trained fruit trees, herbaceous borders, seasonal beds, a parterre, wild flower meadows and arboretum.
Marlene Jones is kindly hosting the evening (Wrangdyke, Back Lane, near corner with The Cockpit).
All are welcome – perhaps you are not yet a member of our informal group. It would be helpful to let Marlene or Jane Page (747 412) know in advance if you are coming. Usual £1 donation towards refreshments.
